Venezuela's power struggle is heading towards a potentially violent showdown on February 23. That's when self-proclaimed interim president Juan Guaidó has promised to have caravans of US humanitarian aid cross the Venezuelan border, in defiance of President Nicolas Maduro and the military. In an interview with FRANCE 24, Carlos Vecchio, whom Guaido has appointed as his representative to the US, expressed confidence that the army will eventually abandon Maduro.
