38-year-old French astronaut Thomas Pesquet is about to blast off for the International Space Station and spend six months at an altitude of 400,000 metres. He will be the tenth French national to venture into space - a childhood dream that has become reality after years of hard work and preparation. He sat down with FRANCE 24 at the European Space Agency to tell us what he is expecting from his space odyssey and how he plans to inspire the next generation of astronauts.
